Church Description:
Worship at the Good Shepherd is Eucharistically centered. There
are two services on Sunday, and one on Wednesday morning. Two regular
Sunday services, at 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. follow Rite II. About 65
worshipers attend both services in the winter months. Attendance
expands to over 120 when seasonal parishioners return. There
is active lay participation in both services. Laity greet worshipers
in the Narthex, present the lessons, and serve as chalice bearers,
intercessor and acolytes. Groups at Good Shepherd include Vestry,
Altar Guild, Choir, Daughters of the King, and the Episcopal Church
Women. Christian Education
at Good Shepherd has four facets: Sunday School/nursery, youth,
adult Bible study and Vacation Bible School.
