![]() SKI NORDIC AT SADDLEBACK: This 40 km nordic trail system passes through the 12,000 acre Saddleback Preserve, over gentle to challenging terrain and surrounds the Saddleback Lake area. Groomed trails appeal to all ability levels, from beginner to expert. Both single and double tracked trails allow for skating when possible. Marked wilderness trails offer the back-country skiing enthusiast a chance to explore the less traveled parts of the preserve. Saddleback Mountain boasts the highest elevation of any ski resort in New Englandand and averages over 200 inches of annual snowfall . Lessons and ski equipment rentals are available at the Saddleback Ski Area base lodge. Skiiers pay a day-use fee for use of the trails.
