EAST KENNEBAGO MOUNTAIN TRAIL: Ten miles east of Rangeley on Route 16, turn left on the gravel road. Cross the bridge, take a right, at the fork go left, take a second right and park your car. Look for the post with the snowmobile trail sign which indicates E. Kennebago, as this marks the trailhead. The trail is ideal for mountain bike enthusiasts. Length of trail: Approximately 6 miles round trip. Summit height: 3,791 feet.

WEST KENNEBAGO MOUNTAIN TRAIL: Take Route 16 west towards Wilson's Mills from Oquossoc. Travel 4.8 miles to the dirt road (Morton Cutoff Road) on the right. Follow this road 3.2 miles and make a right at the intersection. Continue 5.3 miles to the trail. The sign is on the left. Follow the trail markers. This trail offers a moderate hike through hard- woods, spruce trees, conifers and mosses on the way to the summit. Blow downs at top. Good mountain and lake views from the fire tower. Distance to the summit: 2.5 miles. Summit height: 3,705 feet.

ORGONON TRAILS: A series of interconnecting loop trails offer 175 acres of self-guided nature trails for hiking or cross-country skiing, and include a bird watching area, educational stations, and picnic tables.
