![]() AZISCOHOS MOUNTAIN TRAIL: This trail, located
in Lincoln Plantation, offers some of the finest lake views in the
state. Enter the trail on Route 16, 17.7 miles west of Rangeley
and 100 yards south of the Magalloway Bridge at the foot of the
Azicohos Dam. The ascent is easy through the woods on Firewarden's
Trail. There is an optional North slope descent. Road to summit
is 1.75 miles. Elevation gain is 1700 feet to the summit at 3,186
feet. For more info. call the Rangeley Chamber at 207-864-5364. CASCADE STREAM GORGE TRAIL: The trailhead is located on Town Hall Road, off Route 4 (opposite South Shore Drive). The trail, a half mile in length, follows the stream through a steep, 2000' rocky gorge, dotted with pools up to 90' deep and a 16' waterfall. FOREST LEGACY TRAIL: This trail can be accessed via water across from Haines Landing, or from Route 16, 10.1 miles from the intersection of Routes 16 and 4 in Oquossoc.
